Our People

Our Trustees

The Izzi Trust is the trading name of the Centurus Colleges Trust.  We have a board of 3 trustees, who meet quarterly to review the activities, accounts, strategy and direction of the trust, and to provide their experience and input into the trust’s achievements and goals.

The trustees of the Izzi Trust have varied and distinguished backgrounds in a number of different fields.  However, they have one thing in common: they care deeply and profoundly for their country, and for the future of the children living in it.

Below are short summaries of the backgrounds, educations and interests of our five trustees.

Anwar Karrim

Anwar was born in Pietermaritzburg and went to school at ML Sultan in Pietermaritzburg. His profession is the field of finance and he gained extensive experience within the hospitality industry, most recently in the position of Financial Director. Anwar brings his expertise to the Trust of ensuring responsible growth and sustainability. He is currently Chief Financial Officer of Centurus Colleges.

Chris Lee

Chris Lee was educated at Kearsney College in KZN and Wits University in Johannesburg. His became a qualified teacher in 1971 and has been instrumental in the founding of a number of outstanding schools in our country, including Sutherland High School, Cornwall Hill College, Pecanwood College, Tyger Valley College and Southdowns College. He brings to our board a wealth of experience in the fields of education and sport.

Our Employees

Each of our outreach programmes is run by a project coordinator. These are Hazel Mnisi & Frank v.d Linde at Pecanwood College, Helen Erasmus at the Southdowns College, and Moira Mirtle at the Tyger Valley College. These three coordinators’ work is overseen on a daily basis by our Trust Manager - Frith Wesley.
