The Izzi Trust’s mission is to provide financially disadvantaged children with the best education our country can offer

We are a children’s charity whose philosophy centres on empowerment through education. Our three main areas of activity are:

  • providing bursaries that enable financially disadvantaged children to attend some of our country’s finest schools

  • running outreach programmes at underprivileged schools and creches
  • encouraging and facilitating environmental, cultural and academic events that bring together children from our country’s many different    economic and social groups

We carry out this work through our three outreach arms:

Pecanwood College

Based at the Hartebeespoort Dam.

Southdowns College

Based in Southdowns, Centurion.

Tyger Valley College

Based in Pretoria East.

The Izzi Trust is Section 18A

ADvTECH welcome the Izzi Trust

In January 2015 AdvTech welcomed the Centurus Colleges into their family of schools brands. We look forward to a progressive and fruitful partnership with Gregory Laing (head of AdvTech CSI) and his team.

Tyger Valley College share Valentine joy with young and old

This Valentine’s Day the pupils, staff and parents of Tyger Valley College prepared generous heart filled chocolate hampers for children, residents and staff at Paul Jung Nickel, KELC Lethabong, KELC Zwavelpoort, Willow Haven retirement home and Sungardens hospice nursing staff.

Southdowns College Community Spirit

All Southdowns College Grade 10 pupils complete 10 hours of volunteer community service. This year they have collectively chosen to support the following organisations: Dove’s Nest, Doulos, Vastfontein, Ark Animal Centre, Cat’s Are Us, Rusoord Old Age Home, Headway, Friends of Doringkloof Spruit and Pathways. We commend these pupils and look forward to reporting more on the difference they are making in their community.

Learning is fun at Pecanwood College

In February Refentse Day Care spent the morning with the pre-preparatory pupils learning and having educational fun together. The day was finished off with a yummy lunch pack generously donated by Pick n Pay and the school.
