The Izzi Trust together with Dame Allan School and The Cares 4 Kids Foundation in England were able to realize a dream for Re-E-Lwele a rural school in the North West Province.

Re-E-Lwele’s story is not in any way unique. In 2009 Izzi Trust identified the need for a school bus when
we noticed the children walk long distances through unsafe areas to get to school, this situation
potentially leads to these students to drop out of school altogether.

Pecanwood College (Re-E-Lwele’s mentor school) has an established relationship with Dame Allan School in England and their charity arm CARES 4 KIDS -THE OPENWORK FOUNDATION undertook to sponsor a mini bus to help these Re-E-Lwele students to get to and from their school and make their lives more bearable. Once Izzi Trust secured the donation, we received a pledge from the Department of Education of the North West to undertake to maintain and service the mini bus for Re-E-Lwele making this a responsible leadership partnership between donor and recipient.
